Body Count

Daniel brings his girlfriend Susanne to his ancestral home for Thanksgiving. It is not a happy reunion, for our hero lives in the shadow of his deceased brother. The tensions created by trying to dealing with a dysfunctional family pales when murderous art thieves arrive to clean out the house and begin killing off the family. Now, trapped in the basement, Daniel and Susanne must plan how to survive the carnage above them.

Marta plays Marilyn Beckett, the matriarch of the family that dysfunctional barely begins to describe. It is not a large part, but before her very first line, she projects the image of a woman distant and alone. A marvelous interpretation that extends beyond the limitations of the part.
