Murphy Brown
Fjord Eyes Only

The FYI team travels to Lillehammer, Norway for the 1984 Winter Olympics. Murphy, who's more interested in getting free promotional stuff, has a "fluff piece" interview with skater Inge Sorenson. Inge is Norway's best hope of ending a long dryspell in Olympic gold figure skating; a hope that is dashed after Murphy's non-fluff piece style of interviewing makes Inge realize she has no life outside of skating. Inge drops out of the competition, much to the consternation of the entire nation, which turns it wrath on Murphy.

This is a single scene for Marta, but where else can you hear Marta yelling at someone in Norwegian? She plays Inge's angry mother who approaches Murphy brandishing Inge's first pair of skates. Of course, Inge's parents don't speak a word of English, and Murphy doesn't speak a word of Norwegian.
